Shuswap Dance Center was founded by Carolyn Wonacott in response to a need for a fun, creative, non-competitive environment catering to all levels of dancer, from beginner to professional. Carolyn’s extensive dance & business backgrounds provide a strong balance of artistry and organization.

Our emphasis is on professionalism in the classroom in order to offer the student the highest level of technical training while nurturing the creative element. We hope to offer a broad spectrum of dance styles – something for everyone!!

Ballet & Jazz exams are offered in the I.S.T.D. Syllabus (www.istd.org) for children & mature students. Exams are a culmination of work learned throughout the year and are a positive goal to strive towards but are by no means mandatory.

Parent observation days will be every 10 weeks and sometimes more!!! We try to make these days a special event working on dances which we will perform. This also gives the parents an opportunity to see their child’s progress.

Our studio is bright & spacious - inspiring us all to dance to our potential!

Dance does come from the heart so come and join us whatever your level or experience.
